Based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-93 dated March 6, 2025 — “On Further Improvement of the Business Environment, Infrastructure, and Living Standards in the Syrdarya Region” — the “Roadmap” developed under this resolution set clear tasks for establishing a modern and compact cinema in the city of Gulistan, with a focus on screening films for young audiences.
On April 21, the official opening ceremony of the Youth Cinema took place in Gulistan, Syrdarya region.
The event was attended by Navruz Musayev, Head of the Executive Office of the Cinematography Agency, and Shokhrukh Isakulov, Deputy Governor of Syrdarya Region for tourism, sports, culture, cultural heritage, and mass communications. In their speeches, they emphasized that the cinema is expected to become an important platform for enriching the spiritual and cultural worldview of young people.
During the event, the feature film “Three Heroes” was screened for guests and local youth. Prior to the screening, a creative meeting with filmmakers was organized. Actors and actresses shared their thoughts on the film’s message and its significance in youth education.
This new cinema aims to serve not only as a space for cultural recreation for young people but also as a gateway for unlocking and nurturing their creative potential.
