In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-209 “On measures for the further development of cinematography and the creation of a series of films dedicated to the history of our country,” as well as based on the joint meeting minutes No. 65/1 of the National Commission for the Development and Support of Cinematography and the National Council for Promoting the Ideological and Artistic Quality of Films, a competition was held for film projects within the framework of the “Living History” program, and the winners were determined.
On April 29, 2025, a pitching session was held with the participation of 24 studios. According to Decision No. 2 of the National Council, the following 6 studios were selected as winners:
- Feature film “Horizons of Fate” — “ShB” LLC studio
- Feature film “Temurbeks’ School” — “Koʻzgu Film” LLC studio
- Docu-feature film “Shiroq” — “RAMZ-FILM” studio
- Docu-feature film “Fayzulla Khojaev” — “Uzbekfilm” JSC
- Docu-feature film “Usmon Nosir” — “Hope Film” LLC studio
- Docu-feature film “As High as the Pamir Mountains” — “Documentary and Chronicle Films Studio” JSC
In addition, due to insufficient votes in the pitching session, the following film projects will be subject to a RE-PITCHING:
- Feature film “Erkin Vohidov”
- Docu-feature film “Madaminbek”
- Docu-feature film “The Courage of Navoi Scholars”
Reminder: From April 30 to May 30 of this year, the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan is announcing a competition among film studios and companies for the production of 15 projects included in the “Living History” program.
