In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-209 “On measures for the further development of cinematography and the creation of a series of films dedicated to the history of our country,” as well as based on the joint meeting minutes No. 65/1 of the National Commission for the Development and Support of Cinematography and the National Council for Promoting the Ideological and Artistic Quality of Films, a competition was held for film projects within the framework of the “Living History” program, and the winners were determined.


On April 29, 2025, a pitching session was held with the participation of 24 studios. According to Decision No. 2 of the National Council, the following 6 studios were selected as winners:


  1. Feature film “Horizons of Fate” — “ShB” LLC studio
  2. Feature film “Temurbeks’ School” — “Koʻzgu Film” LLC studio
  3. Docu-feature film “Shiroq” — “RAMZ-FILM” studio
  4. Docu-feature film “Fayzulla Khojaev” — “Uzbekfilm” JSC
  5. Docu-feature film “Usmon Nosir” — “Hope Film” LLC studio
  6. Docu-feature film “As High as the Pamir Mountains” — “Documentary and Chronicle Films Studio” JSC



In addition, due to insufficient votes in the pitching session, the following film projects will be subject to a RE-PITCHING:


  1. Feature film “Erkin Vohidov”
  2. Docu-feature film “Madaminbek”
  3. Docu-feature film “The Courage of Navoi Scholars”





Reminder: From April 30 to May 30 of this year, the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan is announcing a competition among film studios and companies for the production of 15 projects included in the “Living History” program.

The premiere of the feature film "Mother Maryam" took place.

Today, the first nationwide presentation of the feature-journalistic film "Resilient Maryam" about the courageous life path and tragic fate of our compatriot Maryam Sultanmurodova, who was sent to study in Germany in the 1920s and as a result suffered political repression, was held simultaneously at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan and all regional cinemas of our republic.

The screening was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency, filmmakers, our compatriots, and representatives of the media. Shukhrat Rizayev spoke in detail about the content of the film and its significance in society.

The film presentation was organized in collaboration with the Committee for Family and Women's Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Agency for Youth Affairs, and the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan.

The first European screening of the film "The Great Emir and Donna Maria" took place as part of the "Days of Uzbek Cinema" event.

On November 21 of this year, the first European screening of the film “Ulug’ Amir and Donna Maria” took place at the Luna Cinema in Warsaw, Poland, as part of the “Days of Uzbek Cinema” event.

This event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland. The event was attended by a delegation led by the Director of the Cinematography Agency, Shukhrat Rizayev, employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland, representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps, and Uzbek compatriots.

The film screening was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Poland, Amirsaid Agzamkhodjayev, and the Director of the Agency, Shukhrat Rizayev.

A screening of the documentary film "Academician Sodiq Azimov. A Scholar in Search of the Sun" was held at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan

Today, at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan, by order of the Cinematography Agency and the S.A. Azimov Institute of Physics and Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a screening of the documentary film “Academician Sodiq Azimov. A Scientist Striving for the Sun” was held at the National Palace of Cinematography.

The screening was attended by Shukhrat Hayitov, Head of the Department for Work with Film Projects of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hero of Uzbekistan Shavkat Ayupov, filmmakers and representatives of the media.

Those who spoke at the screening expressed warm opinions about the history of the creation of this film, its creative potential and the current issues raised in it, as well as the life and work of Academician Sodiq Azimov.

This film was directed by Bahodir Adilov, and the film covers the life and scientific work of Sodiq Azimov, a distinguished scientist who founded the fields of nuclear physics, high-energy physics, semiconductor physics, and high-temperature heliomaterials science in Uzbekistan, developed these areas, and became internationally recognized.
