During the meeting with József Berger, producer and representative of the National Film Institute of Hungary (NFI), the synopsis, script concept, and literary script of the future docu-fiction film “Herman Vambery and Mulla Iskhoq”, to be co-produced by Uzbek and Hungarian filmmakers, were thoroughly discussed.


The parties also agreed to begin work on a draft cooperation agreement between the cinematography institutions of Uzbekistan and Hungary — a treaty on co-production.

The feature film “CHOʻLIQ” by director Jamoliddin Koʻzibayev has been officially accepted into the prestigious international competitions of the USA
“New York Script Awards” and “Chicago Script Awards”.

The “New York Script Awards” is an international competition specializing in film scripts, organized in New York City, one of the largest cultural centers of the USA. The competition evaluates full-length feature films, short films and TV series.

The results will be announced in January 2026.

The “Chicago Script Awards” is an international competition for screenwriters, where works are evaluated by film critics and television experts. The competition is distinguished by its creative approach, strength of idea and dramatic structure.

The film “CHOʻLIQ” has so far won various awards at a number of international festivals.

Representatives of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan also participated in the international cultural festival being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
