In 2025, an important milestone was reached in the history of academic activity at the Tashkent branch of BDCU — for the first time, a group of professors and lecturers were awarded the academic title of “Associate Professor” by the Higher Attestation Commission within the framework of the Scientific Council’s work.

The academic titles were ceremoniously presented by the Director of the Cinematography Agency, Shuhrat Rizayev, and the Director of the branch, Professor Iqbol Melikhoziyev.

“Career Day” Job Fair Held



Today, a “Career Day” job fair was held at the Tashkent branch of BDKU, with active participation from various organizations and film studios.


Representatives of “Poytaxt Bank” and “O‘zmilliybank” provided students with detailed information about preferential education loans, financial literacy, and other important topics.


As part of the event, cooperation memorandums were signed between Shuhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the director of the branch, Professor Iqbol Melikuziev, along with leaders of several affiliated organizations. These agreements aim to expand opportunities for students to undergo internships, participate in creative projects, and find employment in the industry.

Tajikistan Ambassador Visits “O‘zbekfilm” Film Studio



Today, a meeting was held at the “O‘zbekfilm” film studio with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan, Mr. Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, and the Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Shuhrat Rizayev.


During the meeting, the participants highlighted the achievements in cultural cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on future collaborative projects.


In addition, discussions were held regarding the next stages of the joint feature film “The Radiance of Stars: Jami and Navoi”, produced in cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and relevant agreements were reached.


Mr. Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda also met with the film’s creative team and shared his thoughts on the filming process. Afterwards, he toured the filming pavilions, costumes, and technical equipment under the guidance of the Director of “O‘zbekfilm,” Mr. Bahodir Muhammadov.


It is worth noting that the joint project “The Radiance of Stars: Jami and Navoi” is being produced as part of the “Living History” program.

Heroes Remembered on Screen



Today, on June 4, 2025, a meeting was held at the “Renaissance” cinema house, organized by the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with law enforcement agencies.


The meeting was conducted to implement the tasks outlined in the Presidential Directive No. F-62 dated December 12, 2024, and the minutes of the Republican Commission No. 41 dated May 12, 2025. The participants discussed the production and public screening of films and social videos depicting the life stories and bravery of 196 heroes who sacrificed their lives for the peace and stability of the country during the years of independence.


The meeting was attended by Shuhrat Rizaev, Director of the Cinematography Agency; Sirojiddin Sayyid, Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan; Otabek Hasanov, Director of the Center for Culture and Enlightenment; as well as representatives of the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the Ministry of Defense.


An agreement was reached to create a series of video clips, and a working group was formed to oversee their production and delivery to the public.


This project is an important step toward honoring the memory of our selfless heroes, promoting their courage among the broader public, and fostering a spirit of patriotism, especially among the younger generation.
