Congratulations from Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the occasion of the Uzbek Language Day!

Dear compatriots and esteemed filmmakers,

The team of the Cinematography Agency sincerely congratulates you on the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of the State Language and on the occasion of “October 21 — Uzbek Language Day”!

Each film created by us, filmmakers, should contribute to the further development of our native Uzbek language and to the enhancement of its prestige and significance. It is with great joy that we note the practical efforts being made in this direction through our collective unity. In particular, under the “Living History” program initiated by our esteemed President, artistic and documentary films are being produced to showcase the richness and unique beauty of our language. The historical films such as “Bahodir Yalangtush,” “Ajiniyoz,” “Maxtumquli,” and “The Great Amir and Donna Maria” vividly illustrate this.

Currently, the shooting of the historical feature film “The Light of the Stars: Jami and Navoi” is actively underway. Through this film, which portrays the great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi, who wrote many exquisite poems in the Turkic language, we aim once again to express our deep love for our mother tongue.

Therefore, let every artistic creation, including film projects, glorify and honor our national language. Indeed, one’s attitude toward their mother tongue is equivalent to their attitude toward their homeland.

🇺🇿Remembering that the mother tongue is the soul of the nation and the symbol of the state, its preservation and development is the sacred duty of every one of us. The development of the Uzbek language and the strengthening of its position and prestige as the state language remain among our most vital national responsibilities.

The prominent writer and leading figure of the Jadid movement, Abdulla Qodiriy, once said with heartfelt concern for our language:
“The Uzbek language is not a poor language; rather, those who call it poor are poor themselves. Let them not blame their own ignorance on the Uzbek language.”

Our esteemed President has also emphasized:
“Our mother tongue is an inexhaustible source of national spirituality. Therefore, showing deep respect and reverence for it is not only our duty but also our sacred human obligation.”
These words place a great responsibility upon each of us — to cherish our language, strengthen its status as the state language, and raise the younger generation in the spirit of respect for it. For as long as the language lives, the nation lives.
If we convey the beauty and richness of our language through national films, we will elevate the honor and dignity of our nation even higher.

🇺🇿Happy Uzbek Language Day, dear colleagues and beloved compatriots!
