On February 16 of this year, a meeting was held at the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture between the Director of the Agency Shukhrat Rizayev and the Coordinator of the Turkish channel “TRT AVAZ” Yuzhel Kilickaya.

At the meeting, it was agreed to establish creative cooperation and jointly develop new projects. Yuzhel Kilickaya also said that in connection with the upcoming month of Ramadan, it is planned to receive daily TV projects in Samarkand, and asked for the help of the agency for this. The management of the agency expressed its readiness for any assistance and proposals, and agreed to work together.


At the same time, the Director of the Agency Shukhrat Rizayev proposed to all Turkic peoples, on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, to broadcast 30-minute documentaries about religious and educational figures of Uzbekistan on the channel “TRT AVAZ” at the same time during the month of Ramadan. The channel coordinator said that he agreed with this proposal and that after the films are submitted, they will be translated into Turkish and broadcast on his channel without any discrimination.

A meeting was held with Indonesian filmmakers

On February 26, the Director of the Cinematography Agency Shukhrat Rizayev and the Director of the Uzbekfilm Film Concern Bakhodir Muhamedov held a meeting with the Indonesian director of Tobali Film, Dani Juliarto, and the director of Khata Media, Charles Vincent.

During the meeting, the Indonesian filmmakers announced that they are planning to shoot a feature film that will promote the culture of Uzbekistan and Indonesia, and that they hope for creative cooperation with the Agency in this regard.

During the conversation, the Indonesian filmmakers noted that this film will be largely dedicated to the life and work of the great hadith scholar Imam al-Bukhari, and asked for assistance in the organizational processes of filming, including transportation, equipment, and locations.

The Uzbek side said that the script of the feature film to be filmed, as usual, was reviewed by the Agency's Expert Council, and a positive conclusion was reached. They stressed their readiness to cooperate once received.

It was determined that the organizational work during the filming process will be carried out at a minimum agreed price.

A number of feature and documentary films were screened as part of the "Open Doors Day"

As you know, the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan is hosting screenings of feature, fiction, journalistic, documentary, short and animated films produced in 2024, commissioned by the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as part of the "Open Doors Day".

Today, the feature films "Love and Sorrow", "Odina", as well as the films "Mukarrama Turgunboyeva", "Halima Nosirova", "Jorakhon Sultanov", "Muhiddin Rakhimov", "Fattokhon Mamadaliyev", "Tora Sulaymon", "Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev" and "Alisher Navoiy" were screened. Filmmakers, students, film enthusiasts and media representatives attended the screening.

Also, viewers visiting the Cinema Palace can get acquainted with the activities of the Museum of Cinematography of Uzbekistan, enriched with new expositions, and enjoy the rich and colorful history of our national cinema heritage.

Director of the Cinematography Agency Shukhrat Rizayev received the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan Smita Pant.

During the meeting, the Ambassador put forward the initiative to hold the "Indian Cinema Days" event in Tashkent on the occasion of International Women's Day and stated that she would rely on the Agency's practical support in granting permission for the event and its effective organization.

It was decided that the "Indian Cinema Days" event would be organized in cooperation with the Cinematography Agency and the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan on March 13-16 at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan.
