As you know, the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan is hosting screenings of feature, fiction, journalistic, documentary, short and animated films produced in 2024, commissioned by the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as part of the "Open Doors Day".

Today, the feature films "Love and Sorrow", "Odina", as well as the films "Mukarrama Turgunboyeva", "Halima Nosirova", "Jorakhon Sultanov", "Muhiddin Rakhimov", "Fattokhon Mamadaliyev", "Tora Sulaymon", "Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev" and "Alisher Navoiy" were screened. Filmmakers, students, film enthusiasts and media representatives attended the screening.

Also, viewers visiting the Cinema Palace can get acquainted with the activities of the Museum of Cinematography of Uzbekistan, enriched with new expositions, and enjoy the rich and colorful history of our national cinema heritage.

For your information, free film screenings as part of the “Open Doors Day” will be held at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan from February 20 to March 6 of this year.

A memorial evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hamza Umarov was held

Today, a memorial evening was organized at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People's Artist of Uzbekistan, famous theater and film actor, dubbing master Hamza Umarov.

🎭 The event was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, director of the Cinematography Agency, the artist's students, filmmakers and media representatives. Shukhrat Rizayev, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Boir Kholmirzayev expressed warm opinions about the actor's life and creative work, his role in the development of national cinema.

✨ Also, during the event, the Museum of Cinematography of Uzbekistan organized a photo exhibition dedicated to the artist's life and work. Excerpts from films featuring Hamza Umarov were also shown during the event.

A cooperation agreement is being reached between Turkic-speaking countries on the joint production of films included in the "Living History" film program. In particular, a memorandum was signed between the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan and the National Center for Support of Cinematography of Kazakhstan on the joint production of the film "Ahmad Yassavi", which will be shot within the framework of the "Living History" program, with Kazakh filmmakers.
