As you know, the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan is hosting screenings of feature, fiction, journalistic, documentary, short and animated films produced in 2024, commissioned by the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as part of the "Open Doors Day".

Today, the feature films "Love and Sorrow", "Odina", as well as the films "Mukarrama Turgunboyeva", "Halima Nosirova", "Jorakhon Sultanov", "Muhiddin Rakhimov", "Fattokhon Mamadaliyev", "Tora Sulaymon", "Bakhtiyor Sayfullayev" and "Alisher Navoiy" were screened. Filmmakers, students, film enthusiasts and media representatives attended the screening.

Also, viewers visiting the Cinema Palace can get acquainted with the activities of the Museum of Cinematography of Uzbekistan, enriched with new expositions, and enjoy the rich and colorful history of our national cinema heritage.

For your information, free film screenings as part of the “Open Doors Day” will be held at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan from February 20 to March 6 of this year.

The opening of the Azerbaijani cinema block took place

The event was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rashad Azizov, Director General of the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, guests from Central Asian countries and media representatives.

The grand opening ceremony of the Tajik Film Days was held at the Renaissance Cinema House as part of the Central Asian and Azerbaijani Film Days.

The event was attended by the heads of the cinematographic agencies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, film directors and actors, representatives of the media and the general public. The speakers at the opening ceremony touched upon the work carried out in the field of cinematography of the two countries in recent years and plans for the future.

The feature film "Light of the Stars: Jomi and Navoi", which is being created by the decision and initiative of the President within the framework of the "Living History" program, is being developed in cooperation with filmmakers from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Currently, the filming of the film in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has been completed, and filming is currently underway in studio conditions.

The opening of the Turkmen cinema block took place

The event was attended by responsible heads of cinematographic agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, film directors and actors, representatives of the media and the general public. The speeches at the opening ceremony spoke about cooperation in the field of cinematography of the two countries in recent years and plans for the future.

The opening ceremony featured the screening of the feature film “Makhdumquli Firog’iy” by director Muzaffarkhan Erkinov. This film was created in collaboration with the Oguzkhan Association “Turkmenfilm” within the framework of the “Living History” program.

Today, the opening of the Days of Cinema of Central Asia and Azerbaijan took place at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan. The event began with a round table discussion with the participation of foreign delegations. The opening ceremony was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rashad Azizov, Director General of the Cinematography Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Adilet Omarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the State Center for Support of National Cinema of Kazakhstan, several guests from Central Asian countries and representatives of the media.

The event continued with the screening of short documentary films from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Days of Cinema of Central Asia and Azerbaijan serve as an important platform for strengthening cultural ties, bringing peoples closer together through art, and exchanging experiences.
