At the Uzbekistan National Palace of Cinema, a scientific and practical conference titled “From Living History to a Bright Future” was held at the initiative of the Cinematography Agency.


The conference reviewed the film production of 2024, analyzing the development of historical, contemporary, documentary, and animated films.

Experts exchanged views on reforms in the film industry, national TV series, documentary films, and challenges in the animation sector, as well as possible solutions. Discussions also covered ongoing reforms in cinematography and future plans for the industry.


For reference: In 2024, the Cinematography Agency produced a total of 123 film projects, including 18 feature films, 54 documentaries, 32 short films, and 8 animated films, along with 9 TV series and 2 commercials.

The “New York Script Awards” is an international competition specializing in film scripts, organized in New York City, one of the largest cultural centers of the USA. The competition evaluates full-length feature films, short films and TV series.

The results will be announced in January 2026.

The “Chicago Script Awards” is an international competition for screenwriters, where works are evaluated by film critics and television experts. The competition is distinguished by its creative approach, strength of idea and dramatic structure.

The film “CHOʻLIQ” has so far won various awards at a number of international festivals.

Representatives of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan also participated in the international cultural festival being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the film, art and cultural sectors of a number of influential organizations, visited the film corner of the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency and film venues organized for other countries.

During the meeting, the guests were presented with information about the achievements of Uzbek cinematography, new projects and prospects for international cooperation.
