Today, the grand premiere of the feature film “One Day in Samarkand”, produced in collaboration between the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency and the Kyrgyzstan Cinematography Department, was held.
The screening was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency; Ulan Adamaliyev, Director of the Cinematography Department under the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic; Almaz Tulekeev, Director of the state film studio “Kirgiztasmasi”; Naizabek Sydykov, the film’s screenwriter and director, as well as filmmakers, viewers, and media representatives.
Before the screening, Ulan Adamaliyev and Shukhrat Rizayev signed a memorandum of cooperation, aimed at expanding the distribution of films produced in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and strengthening collaboration on new projects.
This adventure film takes viewers on an exciting journey through ancient Samarkand in search of Tamerlane’s lost treasure. The main characters experience numerous fascinating events, while the quest for the great Turan Sultan’s treasure carries a deep symbolic meaning for the audience.
The film is now available for viewing at the National Cinema Art Palace of Uzbekistan and in cinemas across the country.

Today, the Director of the Cinematography Department under the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic – Adamaliyev Ulan Aylchievich, the Director of the state enterprise “Kyrgyztasmasy” – Tulekeev Almaz Toktogazyevich, and renowned screenwriter and director – Sydykov Naizabek Ravshanbekovich visited the “O‘zbekfilm” film concern.
The guests closely explored the film concern’s shooting pavilions, filming equipment, and other exhibits, highly appreciating the achievements in Uzbekistan’s film industry.
Additionally, during the meeting, new projects to be developed within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed.

Throughout 2024, the Cinematography Agency, in cooperation with the Agency for the Development of Public Service, conducted competitive selections for vacant positions in the Central Office. As a result, 10 candidates were hired for 18 available positions.
In 2025, six candidates successfully passed the selection process and signed employment contracts.
Currently, competitive selection procedures are ongoing for two vacant positions in the Central Office.
The selection process is conducted openly and transparently to attract qualified specialists and contribute to the development of the cinematography sector.

On March 25, as part of the “Earth Hour” environmental campaign, all electrical devices in the Cinematography Agency building were turned off for one hour to raise awareness about environmental protection and energy conservation.
This campaign aims to promote the rational use of electricity, the conservation of natural resources, and the fight against climate change.

🇺🇿🇲🇳 The Director of the Cinematography Agency, Shuhrat Rizayev, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Uzbekistan, Daadanhuu Batbaatar.
🤝 During the meeting, they discussed the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia in the field of cinematography, joint film production, and the strengthening of cultural ties between the two countries.
🎬 Additionally, they exchanged views on the filming of a movie about Amir Temur and the Temurids, planned within the “Living History” film series. Given Mongolia’s historically significant locations, some scenes of the film are expected to be shot there.
📌 It is worth noting that the “Living History” film project, initiated by the President of Uzbekistan, is a strategic program designed for 2024–2030. On March 20 of this year, a creative meeting with the famous Turkish producer Timur Savcı will take place at the National Palace of Cinematic Art of Uzbekistan!
Timur Savcı is a renowned producer in both Turkish and global film and television industries. He began his career as a co-producer and project coordinator on the TV series “Asmalı Konak” (The House with Vines), well known to Uzbek viewers.
Later, he founded the production company TIMS Productions, which has produced numerous internationally acclaimed films and series, including: “Muhteşem Yüzyıl” (The Magnificent Century), “Kösem”, “Bambaşka Biri” (Another Love), “Gülperi”, and “Çalıkuşu” (The Wren), among others.
Timur Savcı has received several national and international awards for his high-quality production work.

At the Uzbekistan National Palace of Cinema, a scientific and practical conference titled “From Living History to a Bright Future” was held at the initiative of the Cinematography Agency.
The conference reviewed the film production of 2024, analyzing the development of historical, contemporary, documentary, and animated films.
Experts exchanged views on reforms in the film industry, national TV series, documentary films, and challenges in the animation sector, as well as possible solutions. Discussions also covered ongoing reforms in cinematography and future plans for the industry.
For reference: In 2024, the Cinematography Agency produced a total of 123 film projects, including 18 feature films, 54 documentaries, 32 short films, and 8 animated films, along with 9 TV series and 2 commercials.
