The opening ceremony of the 5th "Korkut Ota" Turkic World Film Festival was held.

A group of Uzbek filmmakers are participating in the 5th "Korkut Ota" International Film Festival, which is being held in Aktau, Kazakhstan, from October 1 to 4.

"Uzbek Cinema Days" will also be held as part of the festival.

Uzbek film stars, actors and directors, led by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, attended the opening ceremony of the film festival.

This year, the films "Chasing Spring" by Ayub Shahobiddinov, "Shamsikamar" by Nusrat Husanov, "Jadid marifati" by Doniyor Shokirov, and "Vali Gafurov - a novel written with a needle" by Saida'lokhon Mas'udkhanov are among the main contenders for the award in the categories of the 5th "Korkut Ota" International Film Festival.

More than 50 films from about 10 countries were submitted to the festival.

Representatives of Uzbek cinematography are also actively participating in it. This year's Silk Road International Film Festival is attended by the director of the National Center for the Development of Cinematography Furkat Usmanov, film director and actor Fatih Jalolov, film director Akrom Shakhnazarov, and the head of the Association of Animation Studios of Uzbekistan, director Abdulatif Haydarov.

The non-competition program of this prestigious Chinese film festival includes feature films such as "House" and "Pandemic". Major conferences are also being held at the festival grounds.

In particular, a forum of representatives of the film industry of countries supporting the "One Space - One Road" initiative was held. At the event, responsible representatives of film organizations from countries such as Uzbekistan, China, Russia, India, the United Arab Emirates, Belarus, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya, Cambodia, and Nepal made presentations and expressed their proposals and initiatives to expand the scope of mutual cooperation.

At the end of the conference, a memorandum of understanding was adopted on cooperation in the international film platform within the framework of the "One Space - One Road" initiative.

"The Black Book" is a full-length feature film in the mystical genre, intended for a youth audience. It tells the story of a student girl who is indifferent to her culture and history, who studies at university only to get a diploma, and whose interests include dressing in a new way, modern phones, and cosmetics, but whose worldview changes due to a coursework on a topic related to the Jadids.

From September 25 to October 4 of this year, free screenings of the best Uzbek films produced by the Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan are being organized at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan on the occasion of October 1 - "Teacher and Mentor Day" under the slogan "Tribute to the Teacher".

Today, a commemorative evening dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the birth of the People's Artist of Uzbekistan, holder of the Order of "Buyuk Khizmatlari Uchun", famous actor and director Razzaq Hamroyev was organized at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency, family members of the artist, filmmakers and media representatives. Shukhrat Rizayev, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Naima Pulatova and the artist's granddaughter Zulfiya Hamroyeva expressed warm opinions about the life and creative work of the actor, his role in the development of national cinema.
Also, small stage performances were shown by the creators of the Uzbek State Musical Drama Theater named after Mukimi. The Museum of Cinematography of Uzbekistan also organized a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the artist. During the event, excerpts from films featuring Razzaq Hamroyev were also shown.

The winners of the XIII International Film Festival “Slavic Fairy Tale” of the Bulgarian Academy of Television, Cinema and Internet Communications (ATKIK) were awarded.
The international jury of the Academy Film Festival awarded the main prize of the film and television festival “GRAN-PRI” to the feature film “Makhtumkuli Firog’iy” directed by Muzaffarkhon Erkinov.

On September 11-13 of this year, the XI International Cultural Forum was held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. It was attended by leaders in the field of culture, leading international experts and world-famous cultural figures.

A number of relevant leaders also participated from the Republic of Uzbekistan: Head of the Executive Office of the Cinematography Agency Navruz Musyaev, Director of the National Center for the Development of Cinematography Furkat Usmanov, and Specialist of the International Relations Department of the National Center for the Development of Cinematography Sayyora Khudaiberdiyeva.

The forum presented the latest projects aimed at developing cultural relations between countries, and discussed topics related to the past and future role of cinema in the modern world, its impact on social processes, and the importance of integrating various cultural traditions.

“Today, it is not a reason for the uniqueness of national culture, but a convenient opportunity for dialogue and mutual enrichment. “In the recent past, we were one big family, and now we have united in society. This is a good opportunity to introduce dialogue between cultures within the framework of the project and develop it in the digital space. We see that digital distribution is gaining significant momentum today, and perhaps it is worth considering a single streaming platform in the CIS countries. This is another way to expand market opportunities. The Asian space of the Commonwealth is not as rich in local films as we would like. We have learned to produce independent, Art-House films well, but we also need to develop commercial films, he noted.

Today, the premiere of the documentary “Mahbora. Mother's Symphony” and “The Experience of a Horse” and the feature film “Shamsikamar”, created in collaboration with the Cinematography Agency and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took place at the National Palace of Cinematography of Uzbekistan.

The screening was attended by Shukhrat Rizayev, Director of the Cinematography Agency, Sayfullo Rajabov, Advisor to the Director of the Agency, filmmakers, our compatriots, and representatives of the media. Shukhrat Rizayev spoke in detail about the content of these films and their significance in society.

The Golden Pulpit International Film Festival was held in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, from September 5 to 9 of this year. More than 750 films from more than 60 countries were submitted to the international film festival.

In the documentary category, the film “Eternal Moments”, shot by the State Enterprise “Documentary and Chronicle Film Studio” under the order of the Cinematography Agency and directed by Navroza Biynazova, received recognition from film journalists and film critics.
